About Becca Block
I’m a multi-passionate professional with expertise in innovating and managing for impact, facilitating deep learning, and working with the strengths and challenges that come with neurodivergence.
My expertise comes from experience across several areas:
Mission Driven Leader
I spent a decade as a nonprofit executive responsible for innovating, improving, and reporting on programs and products that needed to make impact in financially sustainable ways. I helped close over $7M in grants, developed new and improved programs that improved literacy and positive youth development outcomes for thousands of young people, and scored in the top 5% of manager ratings across peer organizations.Deep Learning Facilitator
I spent a decade in higher ed, teaching, tutoring, and running student service departments and faculty professional development programs. My research and programs won awards and inform the way I facilitate meaningful learning experiences.Entrepreneur, Published Author & Advocate
I have also founded businesses; published books, articles, and poetry; and been involved in volunteer and advocacy work focused on youth, education, and mutual aid for many years. My Brain is Unique
I did all of this as someone with multiple forms of neurodivergence, some of which didn’t get identified until my own children were evaluated and diagnosed. Many of my clients, former employees, relatives, and friends are also neurodivergent in a variety of ways, including ADHD, autism, OCD, anxiety, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and more. In other words, I’ve engaged in neuroinclusive ways of getting work done for decades.
As I’ve grown to understand and work with my own unique wiring, I’ve learned I generate the best results when I don’t pigeonhole myself to just one kind of work. So I don't.
If you can relate, or that sparks your curiosity, I’d love to chat.
